夏洛特 Christian School provides personal 辅导员s at each division to nurture relationships with students, support social/emotional learning and foster spiritual growth. Through individual sessions, small groups and classroom lessons, 辅导员s partner with students to navigate challenges, develop healthy coping skills and integrate biblical truth into their daily lives. When long-term counseling is necessary, 辅导员s are prepared to recognize and respond to student needs and assist families in seeking resources.
Students today are faced with many opportunities and challenges as they enter a fast-changing world and we want to do everything we can to encourage and empower the health of the whole child. In support of social and emotional learning, we utilize the SEL curriculum, PurposeFull人, in our lower school that focuses on courage, 尊重, 毅力, 感激之情, 诚实, 善良, 同理心, 责任, cooperation and creativity. 对于中学来说, we have implemented the partner SEL program, CharacterStrong, that is geared towards the adolescent years. 的 curriculum focuses on emotion understanding and regulation, leadership and core values. In the upper school social and emotional learning has been addressed during advisory time through the Habitudes curriculum and topics including emotional fuel, personal discipline and encouragement.

夫人. Liner received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her master's degree in counseling from the University of North Carolina at 夏洛特. She has had experience as a middle and upper school 辅导员 through the years but has found her home in the lower school with 夏洛特 Christian’s youngest students. She is passionate about walking with parents in these foundational years and working with students on their social and emotional development. She has been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) since 2008 and finds it a true joy to now serve at her alma mater from the class of 2000.

夫人. Gray received her bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from Clarion University of P.A. and a Master of Education in school counseling from Liberty University. While working for several years as a teacher, she had the opportunity to come alongside students to assist them in their social and emotional growth. She worked with 辅导员s and community members to create small groups and mentorship 项目 for youth. 的se experiences were so impactful that they led her to pursue a degree in counseling. She currently serves as the middle school 辅导员. She enjoys helping students and parents as they navigate the middle school years that are full of transitions and self-discovery.

夫人. Day has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in 辅导员 education from Florida Atlantic University. She worked for eight years at PACE Center for Girls, Inc. in Florida with experience as a classroom teacher, 辅导员, guidance 辅导员 and academic manager. Most recently she re-entered the workforce after taking time off for motherhood to work as a Y-Kids associate at the Brace Family YMCA and the associated Hemby Preschool.
